We are a group of friends with similar interests - the primary one being hiking. It doesn't matter if it's a one-day trip or a multi-day backpack; we like climbing up and down the tallest mountains throughout the Northeast (and beyond) and having other people along with us. Other activities on our calendar include biking (rail trail, road, & off-road), kayaking (rivers, lakes, & ocean), skiing (downhill & cross country), and various adventure races. Our approach is simple - the strength of a coh …
Meet other mountain bikers to take local trips after work and on weekends. This is a co-ed group, not intended to be just macho guys. Depending on the make-up of the group, we'll go mild or wild. Helmets required on all rides, please read the Liability Waiver on the "About" page.
This group was established for cyclists of all levels and disciplines (road and mountain). You'll see that we're pretty focused on road for the time being but perhaps enough interest will actually form a group to tackle some local trails! Some folks get a little confused by the title "Grind & Grub" - not terribly creative I'm afraid. "Grind" because of the bikes. "Grub" because I like to think most people work best on the reward-system. You break a sweat, burn your quads a bit and then enjoy so …

We are a small group because we are a young group. Worry not, we are definitely a fun group. Come meet other Asians in a low-key, fun environment. YAB will be one of a kind. While we love having a good time mingling with other Asian people in Boston, we also enjoy active outdoor activities such as mountaineering, skiing/snowboarding, tennis, so …
… I’ve ridden all over the country – on the west coast, through mountainous terrain, in Florida, Nova Scotia, and everywhere in New England. Right now, when riding solo I go about 15.5 miles per hour and average over 40 miles. With a group the speed can go to about 16-17 mph. I have lived in Dorchester for the past 7 years and would like to find other bikers interested in joining me on regular Sunday rides. I’ve been working on a great route. We depart from Ashmont station in Dorchester and ri …

… This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.” (Author: Anthony Robbins. This group has no affiliation; I just thought it was an amazing quote!)

… We're always gearing up for long weekend trips to places such as the Catskill Mountains and Nova Scotia. We also do a lot of meet up rides for dinner and drinks, Lowel Bike Nights, cookouts, riding with other area sport bike groups, as well as being open to any other ideas members may have. We ride at a fairly quick sport bike pace, though we always put safety first. Most of all, we want to have fun riding. So come on out and join up... we guarantee you'll be back for more! Hey Slackers! This group is for those who love to do outdoor events but also love to sleep in on weekend mornings. Some simple rules: No events before noon. Events are generally on weekends. Events are close to or easily accessible from Boston -- NO 12-hour drives to the White Mountains. No closing of pre-meetup registration early -- so people can make some last minute decisions based on how they're feeling. That's it! Let's have fun!
